but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly.”

  1. Excerpted from a private post I wrote a few months ago.

“I need to love these people in order to love myself.    My quest is to open up and listen, listen to the echos of the universe.  Bear witness to the miracle of them.  And forget. about. me.

Try as I might, to feel that love… that love co-opts itself, and reminds me that what I’m sending out, receptivity, care, openness.  Is what my soul needs most.   I need to be as beautifully imperfect as I possibly can, a beautiful imperfect possibility.   In order to accept them, equally,  as beautifully imperfect creatures.”

    • That’s lovely! Thank you for sharing that with me. (Although I’d argue the “I don’t matter part, but you knew I would, right?!)

My thoughts to the quote were far more trivial: We had a chance of moving to a really gorgeous new appartement, that was considerably very okay in rent. Yes, it would have been a stretch for us financially and would depend completely on me acing my exam in february and getting the new job I want, but I really wanted to risk it. Phil is more careful with decisions like this and he’s not great with change, so in the end the decision was made to forgo this appartement. It kinnda broke my heart – a bit – for a second.

But that’s him and neither of us are perfect. So I guess excepting that is part of loving each other deeply 🙂
