    • Hah! Maybe *I* should try that! I realized yesterday by watching a TV program on Christopher Columbus, that I would have completely failed at this whole discovery of the west passage to asia stuff. For all the obvious reasons, but especially because I wouldn’t have been able to take the 4th journey upon myself, after how the spanish royals treated me upon my return from the 3rd journey in chains (don’t get me wrong, I’m not arguing the cause for his encancerment, I’m just saying, I’m not sure I would have been willing to pick up the pieces and start afresh – whiny little self that I am 😉 )

    • Do you want to hear something funny? I actually had to go back and check to make sure there was a window. When I saw it, I remembered having noticed it before, but it never registered deeply enough to remember it – Weird huh?! Now that you’ve mentioned it, I can totally see what it adds to the beauty of the picture, with the light shining through.

I really love that we all take something else out of a photo.

What I loved was the resiliency in the old stone walls, cracked but still erect

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts 😀

    • Thank you 🙂

I was fascinated by it too. She seems so graceful, humble, strong and endurant (almost like a statue) and at the same time there is this vunerability about her enforced through her slightly bowed head and the movement of fabric in the wind – I’m thrilled it moved you, too 😀
