Door: “Why, it’s simply impassible!”
Alice: “Why, don’t you mean >impossible< ?”
Door: “No, I do mean impassible. (chuckles) Nothing’s impossible!”
[ Lewis Caroll – Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass ]
I love that quotation. I love Alice in Wonderland.
Thank you, Tricia (is your name spelled “Tricia” or “Trisha” btw?) 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed it. 🙂
I was lying in bed thinking last night (because I was a bit insomniac) and felt this feeling of regret wash over me for my lost childhood favorites (books). So I decided, as soon as I’ve got this examstuff out of the way, I should start recollecting them from the four winds in which they’ve been sent. I like having them around me. -They soothe me! 🙂
Great photo selection today.
In earlier days as a programmer, when being asked whether unreasonable changes were possible, I often replied “ANYTHING’s possible… it’s only software!”
Thank you E. 😀
I forced Phil to watch an artsy, pseudo-intelectual, indie movie about a piano tuner some time back. The poor guy said one of the standart questions he always got from his star musicians was: “This is lovely, but can we make the sound a bit fuller and a bit clearer (which apparently doesn’t work for a piano, not that I would know)?” – I think software is a bit similar to that: The essence of humanity always wanting more as long as someone else has to make it happen 😉
Thank you for using my image.
Like I said: The pleasure (and gratitude) is all mine 🙂 K.
I found this blog via the Flickr referral system. Thank you for using my image.
No, thank YOU, Tom: I love your work – very inspirational! I’m so thrilled you approve of the way your photo is displayed here as part of my project. However, should you in any way disagree with anything, please let me know and I will amend it immediately.
Thank you again – I appreciate it a lot 🙂 K.
