    • Ha ha – so funny: I replied to a comment above before I read yours and there (in the other reply) I said something about needing this printed on a Tshirt and being forced to wear this shirt over and over b/c I’m a bit hesitant about getting it inked on my body 😉

Glad it spoke to you as strongly as it did to me! 😀

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment, btw, I really do appreciate it – A LOT! 😉

    • Thank You! Yes, I TOTALLY thought so too. Also it made me long for horseback riding so badly (although I’ve only ever ridden english never western, but still!) 😉

    • Ah, thank you: Too sweet! 🙂

And to answer your question: Yes. They started yesterday and I had a horrible start (which hence triggered this picture, since I’m always posting upon return). I was dead tired and basically fell asleep at my desk. I think I overpaced myself horribly in prep-time and payed for it that first day. Also it didn’t help that the heating was blasting and no fresh air and 40 people crouched together in a small room.

However, I didn’t panic. I finished the paper although I knew it was a piece of crap and turned it in (maybe there’s 1 point in there somewhere, who knows?!) and then on my (1 1/4 h early) return train ride home I fought the urge not to get off at my station but just keep on going (I think the main reasons for that was that the train was headed for “Koblenz” and “Koblenz” really doesn’t have a lot going for itself except a nice view of the Rhine and I only had 20 EUROS cash on me, which even in “Koblenz” won’t get you too far 😉 )

And then today I downed two cans of red bull in short succession (uggh – not a fan!) and it went – okay, I guess. Nothing grand, but 100% improvement from yesterday and who knows it might be better than I think. In any case I didn’t fall asleep 😉

Now the weekend ahead of me and then the reprise on monday: I’ll keep you updated 😉

        • Yeah well, it’s no what I’d call fun, but I might have exaggerated a bit on the torterous part. They do trey to make it the least painful experience they can, it’s just that if you have a tendency of your own insecurities getting the better of you (as it is in my case) it can be quite a ride 😉

I’m doing okay-ish with the stress (better than anyone expected in any case), although I did brake down today and decided that the only thing that could console me was a kiddy pint of Häagen-Dazs’ Cookies & Cream (ah well so much for my no-sugar-diet 😉 ).

Yeah results. Well in about 3 monthes I will know if my written exam results will allow me to go on to the oral (no exact points yet – just a pass/ no pass) and then 6 weeks later the oral takes place (1 day only) after which they will on the same let you know if you passed (completely) or not and your grade – So it’s pretty much a patience game 😉

    • You are so very welcome and thank you 😉 – I agree her facial expression (and that of the horse of course) is priceless! – I really fell head over heels for this pictures energy and composition and I’m thrilled it appealed to you too 🙂

    • Thank you. 🙂

Yeah, I think I need this one printed on a shirt I’m forced to wear regularly (you can tell I’m a bit hesitant about commiting to it being inked on to my body, can’t you? It’s not the quote, it’s more that that’s a commitment I’m a bit hesitant about in general 😉 ). 😉

    • Okay, so I’m going to push my “don’t-be-gullible-he’s-not-really-THE-AMSawyer-thoughts” to the side and just gush: “Thank YOU for taking the time to stop by, read and comment. I’m so thrilled you enjoyed this!” 🙂

        • This might just be THE COOLEST THING that has happened to me EVER 😀 You, Sir, just absolutely made my day! Thank you so much!

B.t.w. (just in case you overlooked the link below the picture) I should add that this awesome photo was not snapped by me and that if you liked it you should really check out more of tankkillers photostream on Flickr I linked back to.

Yay, yay, yay – I’m doing a little happy dance (only in my head, but that’s just b/c my body is still stunned 😉 ) 😀

            • Sure 🙂

I have to admit I haven’t read any of your books yet and only came across your work on goodreads.com/quotes, however (and I’m not saying this b/c it’s the appropriate thing to say, but b/c those are my true feelings) I really got curious reading some of the reviews and plan to read your books (especially the one I quote from “Lord of the Mullets”) as soon as I get my life back (meaning march).

You – or rather the reviews – remind me a lot of Terry Pratchett (who I worship!) and I hope you don’t mind me saying that your work seems to have the same sort of humor to it (highest form of compliment in my book!). 😀

In any case I’m always one for a good fantasy anti-hero read and your work seems to fit that image exceptionally well – so I can’t wait to get my hands on it (residing in Germany, my guess is I will have to order it, right?) – I will let you know how I liked it when I’m done, deal? 😉

              • Tell you what. Send your e-mail address to author@amsawyer.com, and I’ll give you a free eBook of “Lord of the Mullets”…..It’s ePublished through smashwords, so what I will do is give you a coupon code to use at checkout for the free copy, and you can choose which format you want it in….(For Kindle, Nooks, PDF files..you get the idea) Deal?

                    • Okay so if I ever win the Nobel prize for something (fat chance b.t.w., but a gal can dream) I will be sure to mention you in my acceptance speach 😉

I mean, I understand that to you all of this is propably not a big deal, but this seriously is one of the coolest things that ever happened to me: Thank you so much! 😀

Can’t wait for this week from hell to be over so I can curl up in my bed with my notebook and my freshly downloaded free Lord of the Mullets – Yay for me (and yay for you for awesomely giving it to me!)

  1. Ran out of room above, so just put my response here…I hope you enjoy reading it when that time comes…And it is a big deal to me. Every Fan and Friend is a big deal to me, because without them, I could not follow my dreams.

You know you’re closest to Heaven in your life, when Hell throws everything it has to try and stop you from reaching your dreams.

    • I’m so thrilled to have made your “personal” acquaintance through this. Really am!

I hope you get to follow your dream as far as you wish and I AM SO looking forward to reading your book! 🙂

(I will email you and let you know how I liked it and also leave a critique on smashwords 😉 )

That last quote is brilliant! I think I will have to use that on one of my future posts!

I can’t thank you enough, but I do try my best 😉

          • Yeah, I read…Something about finals, right? I’d need a day or two away from my brain after a week of finals too..lol Would you like to be kept up with what’s going on with my work? I’ll put you on the e-mail mailing list for my website, but only if you wish to be. 🙂

            • Yeah something like that: It’s the written part of the German international law bar exam 😉

I’d love to be on your mailing list – thanks for asking 😀
