“A tragedy is a tragedy, and at the bottom, all tragedies are stupid.

Give me a choice and I’ll take A Midsummer Night’s Dream over Hamlet every time.

Any fool with steady hands and a working set of lungs can build up a house of cards and then blow it down,

but it takes a genius to make people laugh.”

    • Yes! Me too! I used to read them as a remedy for my constant nightmares. Seriously. I’m not sure how it worked, but it did. I think it had something to do with voicing fears through fantasy like scenarios and when I closed the books I shut the demons out. I was a very strange child – Heck, I believe I still am! 😀

  1. Stephen King is so real. Jim actually reads his thick books, but I mainly listen to them on CD when we go on roadtrips. It’s kind of one of our traditions.

    • What a great tradition! I’m the only one in my family (and circle of friends) that enjoys King, so there’s no one really to share it with. Phil won’t go near anything scary, but he’ll watch WW I and WW II documentaries at bedtime. THAT freaks me out – talk about real horror.
